A Study of an Identical-Strength Warm Standby System with Gamma Distribution and Imperfect Switching

Abstract :
In this paper, we consider a warm standby redundant system with an imperfect switching. The strengths of the components are assumed to follow identical Gamma distributions. A general expression for the reliability of the system Rn, is derived under the assumed stress–strength distribution. Numerical results are obtained and presented in tabular form to illustrate the reliability performance of the system for different parameter values of the Gamma stress–strength distributions.
