Integrating Concept Mapping and Digital Lesson Planning to Enhance Learning Strategies and Professional Ethics among B.Ed. Physical Science Students

Abstract :
The transformation of teacher education in the digital era necessitates innovative pedagogical approaches that simultaneously foster cognitive and ethical competencies. This paper explores the integration of concept mapping and digital lesson planning as a framework to enhance learning strategies and professional ethics among B.Ed. physical science students. Concept mapping supports meaningful learning by enabling structured knowledge representation, while digital lesson planning facilitates systematic and technology-integrated instructional design. Drawing upon constructivist and connectivist learning theories, the paper argues that the synergy between these approaches promotes higher-order thinking, self-regulated learning, and ethical awareness. The paper further discusses pedagogical implications and proposes a conceptual model for integrating these strategies in teacher education. The study contributes to the growing discourse on innovative practices in teacher education by providing a comprehensive theoretical foundation for future empirical research.
